How Plaquette models the hardware-specific physics that dominates fault tolerance across platforms including superconducting qubits, neutral atoms, trapped ions, spin qubits, and photonics.

Do you really need 10000 physical qubits?​

People often say it takes ten thousand physical qubits to make one logical qubit. That number is only a rough guide. The real answer depends on the architecture, the application, and the kinds of imperfections in the hardware.
